We just finished a 2 week stay in Port Stephens at a house managed by Winning Holidays/Alloggio. Only have positive things to say - house was well maintained and accurate to what was shown on website. Wasn't a fancy place and wasn't made out to be anything it was not. Booking was easy. We also had 2 issues after arriving. We were short on some towels and a mattress protector. Within 24hrs there were more towels delivered and a day later a new mattress protector arrived as they couldn't source an existing one. The 2nd was a plumbing issue with a burst pipe at 10pm. After house number answered and was helpful. I stopped the water and a plumber arrived the next morning to replace the pipe.2 visits to the office for rebooking next year and good experiences in there too. We will be back. Thanks!
Very rude staff! Just spoke to a representative by the name of Robin. Trying to get directions of were their office is located to organise key pick up and I am shocked and appalled at they way she spoke to me! I have been coming to the bay for over 10 years now and mostly book through Omera real estate. OMEARA Staff have always been lovely! Feel really anxious about my upcoming break not a good first impression!
Recently stayed in a pet friendly accommodation in Nelson Bay after reassurances that the property was securely fenced for our dogs and upon arrival noted that the fence did not meet the garage and that a gap of 30cm existed. Our dogs had to stay inside the garage when we went to dinner, to a dog-unfriendly area or to bed. The accommodation was excessively musty and mildew affected, and incredibly dusty. A nightmare for allergy sufferers. Winning Holidays you really disappointed.
Took $35 out off my personal credit card (was booked on a work credit card through Airbnb) without any notice or invoice. I simply wanted to an invoice and to know why this occurred and was told by staff that they would refund the cleaning fee immediately. I am still yet to receive the refund after 3 months and 15 phone calls trying to chase the refund. They're extremely quick to deflect the issue to someone else within their team (that particular person is often not available). The communication and ability to take action from this company is extremely poor. And I am still short my $35!
We stayed at Unit 7, Albacore and we were really disappointed considering we paid $4,093.00 for a weeks accommodation and the property wasn't up to standard considered it was advertised as a "penthouse". It is poorly equipped and maintained. On arrival there was sand in one of the showers, the curtains in the main bedroom were badly stained and it gave the general feeling of unclean. The bedspread was missing from the main bedroom and replaced with a blanket with dirty marks. The kitchen was poorly equipped also, we had to buy a can opener, kitchen tongs and salad servers, things which you would expect to find in an expensive unit. Most coffee cups were badly stained in the inside. A drawer in the second bedroom was not usable. On arrival we were issued with the wrong keys and after spending half an hour trying to see if they worked we called Winnings and were advised we had the wrong keys, then a staff member had to deliver the right keys and were not able to get into the unit for over an hour. After that we realised that we were missing two sets of sheets for one of the bedrooms and they weren't delivered until 7pm that night after numerous time consuming phone calls. We also asked to speak to the manager regarding the lack of time wasted and we were advised that she would telephone us on the Monday, but never heard back. All in all, a very disappointing experience.
