Wouldn't be my firat choice in Nelson Bay as kitchen needs a little work as they served cold sweet potato fries (as an individual side) & cold regular fries (in dish). Kitchens shouldn't be sending that outHad the fisherman's basket, 3 seafood items were fresh & cooked reasonably wellAoili sauce was deliciousService was good and everything else was acceptable
Had a great dinner with my fianc at Mavericks! Food was so delicious and great quality food. Only downside was waiting 45 minutes, but was definitely worth the wait at the end. It was very busy for a Monday night so just think they were understaffed. But besides that was a very pleasant dining experience.
Nice location and very quick service. Some of the nicest salt and pepper squid I have had in a long time. Was not overcooked and greasy like a lot of places. Will eat here again.
The best seafood ive ever had!! staff were lovely, we ordered our food and it was delivered to us in less than 15 minutes while the restaurant was still steady with customers. great beer, couldnt be happier with our experience.
Great location with water views. Menu is priced fairly. Has a bar in house and overall a lovely atmosphere to dine at and have drinks. The water facing tables usually have reservations so if a view is important to you, you may want to book ahead.
