Excellent coffee and food, consistently. We come around the area almost every year and always a few visits to Lil Nel for brekkie or lunch and they never disappoint. Convenient location and plenty of free parking just 2mins walk away.
Had breakfast here on Saturday on the suggestion of my daughter who'd been there before with a group of friends. Saw a queue as we drove past and baulked but it cleared quickly. Had a seat in view and listening distance of the kitchen and as the Head Chef commented as the orders flew in, 'you can tell it's the weekend'. The place was filled to capacity but all of the staff worked like a well oiled machine, even when they lost power for a minute.We could not fault the delicious large portions or service.We'll be back.
Atmosphere was nice and casual. Service was busy but polite and relatively attentive. Food is well presented and delicious. A strong hispter vibe but it works!! Banana smoothie was generous and thick and the fresh pressed juices are refreshing! An impressive cafe with high quality food.
What an incredible cafe and an absolute must visit if you had to Nelson Bay. The team working there were absolutely fantastic and looked after our young family. Crayons and colouring book to take home. What an absolute gem. Food was outstanding. Not only presented beautifully, but tasted divine. My wife said she would eat there everyday if she could and that says a lot for a real foodie. What a brilliant experience. Thanks to the staff for making it a memorable part of our holiday. Hope to find our way back for another holiday just so we can eat there again.
