The food here is average at best. Someone mentioned you can buy better seafood from Sydney's western suburbs and I wholeheartedly agree. Extra points lost for not offering cashless payment options (how can businesses continue to operate as cash only in 2019?) and no recycling facilities for all the single-use plastic. Thinking about all the landfill generates by this business make me sick.
Been here twice now, OK fish and chips but nothing overly special about them in our opinion, very tight dining space, we had a pram and found it very hard to find a good seat but they were busy. Our table seems like it wasn't bolted to the floor and literally could be tipped over to a 45 degree angle making balancing our meals while sorting out the child's food very difficult. Wouldn't avoid it, wouldn't recommend it.
Great Seafood selection. The seafood platter is wholesome. We had more than enough to fill our tummy's. The view of the harbour was also noteworthy. Our favorite place to eat in Nelsons Bay
Friendly staff, clean and amazing value! We had the Blue Water Seafood platter and it was incredible! A seafood feast! Everything was cooked fresh to order, we saw our fish hand selected from the window! We are here for 2 weeks! We come every year and we head straight to Bubs ! Consistent and good!
It promised so much but ended up reasonably underwhelming. There's good choice of fish and assorted seafood - all well presented. Maybe it was what I chose - Snapper, chips and salad. It was okay, but nothing I would rush back for. Probably a place worth giving a go. Warning: no cards, (why?) but there is an ATM next door, if you want to pay $2.50 for the privilege. But the place is just the place for fish and chips by the water - if that is what you are looking for. Just be discerning about what you but. I can recommend the potato scallop.
